Hi, I’m Kelsey Wunderle, LMFT, CHT
I’d love to help you take the next step on your journey towards greater emotional and mental well-being.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy from The California Institute of Integral studies, I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2018. As an undergrad, I studied at UC Berkeley and received my B.S. in Psychology. I spent many years in the field of Early Childhood Education before beginning my training as a psychotherapist. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy that looks at the whole person, the body, mind, heart and spirit. As a therapist, I have experience working with children of all ages, individual adults, couples and families. I have witnessed again and again how the human connection with inner creativity and imagination can guide us into growth and possibilities for positive change, allowing us to dream into new potentials.

Approach
How will we work together?
I hold a space for you to come and feel heard, seen and accepted in all aspects of yourself. My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems Therapy, which supports you in getting touch with the various parts of yourself from a compassionate and curious place. This approach fosters self-understanding and also examines the contexts that give rise to symptoms and behaviors. I employ a variety of tools and modalities depending on the needs and strengths of each client. Some examples include focusing in on the felt sense in the body, exploring through arts modalities of sand tray, writing, drawing or moving, engaging images and metaphors, or using insight oriented talk therapy to deepen understanding of the deeper roots of patterns and feelings. Through the process, we will track patterns back to the source, like a paleontologist unearthing an entire skeleton from just one initial bone sticking out of the earth. We will also deepen your connection with what supports you and resources you. I offer in-person therapy and teletherapy services.

“The task of therapy is not to eliminate suffering but to give a voice to it, to find a form in which it can be expressed. Expression is itself transformation; this is the message that art brings. The therapist then would be an artist of the soul, working with sufferers to enable them to find the proper container for their pain, the form in which it would be embodied.”
